In the Women's Open, she was in a group with the the number 6 ranked woman in the country, and the number 1 veteran player in England; Evie is ranked 68, so she should not have got out of the group. She managed to get out of the group as runner up.

In the next round, she had to play Kelly Skeggs, ranked 57. Evangeline beat her 3-0, to set up a quarter final with Lauren Spink, ranked 7 in the country. Evangeline played very well, going down 3-0, but with scores of 13-11, 11-9, 11-9, which is close; Lauren went on to lose the final.
